NEW COMBLINE/CAVITY FILTER PRODUCT LINE RELEASED

NEW Combline/Cavity Filter Product Line Released
Yankton, SD – March 20, 2006 – MtronPTI continues to expand its product offering with the addition of a compact, high power Combline/Cavity Filter Product Family. Utilizing over 40 years of experience in the filter marketplace, an Evanescent Mode Combline filter product with a center frequency of 1087.5 MHz that features a 23 percent 1 dB bandwidth was released. With the ability to handle 300 watts of pulse power at a 22% duty cycle this specialized filter is housed in a small 2.75 x 1.267 x 0.630 inch (L x W x H) enclosure. The broadband, -60 dB spurious free performance is another industry leading feature of this device. Mike Howard, MtronPTI’s Director of Engineering states, “We were able to merge our strong design capability with our wealth of product knowledge and deliver a leading edge product that combines high Q, high power handling, and small size to our customer.” The small and lightweight design topologies make this product an excellent candidate for avionics communications and electronic warfare. In other applications such as ground communications, test equipment, and spectrum clean up the broadband spurious performance is an attractive characteristic.
The Combline/Cavity Filter Family will be available with center frequencies from 100 MHz to 20 GHz and feature tight selectivity, 1% to 80% bandwidth, and 1.5:1 return loss. MtronPTI offers the design and manufacturing support to create products from this family for specialized and custom applications.
