MtronPTI Announces Low Jitter, Miniature Clock Oscillator
Orlando, Florida – May 27, 2008 – MtronPTI, a leading producer of frequency control and filter products announces the M2060 Series, an ultra miniature 3.2 x 5.0 mm clock oscillator series. The M2060 Series LVPECL oscillator offers low jitter performance (1 ps RMS max., integrated phase noise 12 kHz to 20 MHz), excellent phase noise performance and frequency stability to 25 ppm over a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C in frequencies to 212.500MHz. A wide range of applications include mobile wireless communications, dedicated short range communications, SONET/SDH/DEWM/ATM, 1G/2G/4G/10G fiber channel, 1G/10G gigabit ethernet, storage area networks, broadband access, digital video, phase locked loops, digital network switching, microprocessors / SDP / FPGA, test equipment and industrial controllers.
“The M2060 Series provides very good phase noise and jitter performance, as well as frequency stability,” commented Joe Doyle, VP Engineering at MtronPTI. “And we package it all in an ultra miniature footprint.”
“MtronPTI’s new ultra miniature clock oscillators will assist customers with projects where space is at a premium,” states MtronPTI’s VP of Sales and Marketing, Dick Thompson. “Its applications are endless, but we expect the product to be particularly popular in fiber channel and space constrained applications because of its very low jitter and power consumption as well as the small footprint.”

Cavity Filter
Filter Specifications Order Form
MtronPTI offers a cavity filter series specially designed for WiMAX applications and other wireless metro area network systems. The WiMAX cavity filter series covers the 2.3-to-2.7-GHz frequency range with emphasis on low-loss narrowband systems. MtronPTI utilizes a re-configurable design platform fully modeled in EM (Electromagnetic) simulation software, and tested with a stringent design verification process. This allows quick delivery of samples that are optimally tuned for specific applications.
MtronPTI’s WiMAX cavity filter products feature:
Passband center frequencies from 2.3 to 2.7 GHz, making them well suited for mobile and fixed WiMAX, WiBro and Wi-Fi applications
Available bandwidth range of 0.04 to 0.2% 1-dB
Versatile configuration, allowing multiple cross-coupling schemes with four transmission zeroes, placed on either side of the passband and in any combination
Standard housings that can be rapidly reconfigured permitting reduced lead times for custom applications
Connector locations that are flexible and configurable
Excellent extended rejection performance, achieved with an integrated lowpass filter
Can be used in either Rx (radio receive) and/or Tx (radio transmit) mode
Modules with two, three, four, or six filters of identical or different configurations are available for systems applying MIMO or other antenna diversity technology
Duplexers can be developed using the same re-configurable platform and are offered as a single unit or modules with multiple Duplexers
Custom design capabililties
