MtronPTI has provided high reliability products to the frequency control and filter industries for more than 40 years. MtronPTI was the first North American frequency control company to receive ISO-9001 certification. The MIL-STD-790 certified Yankton facility has been QPL for Crystals (MIL-PRF-3098) since 1967, and just recently achieved Oscillator certification to MIL-PRF-55310. The Orlando facility has excelled in research and development, including numerous government research grants. This research has resulted in industry leading planar microwave filters, low phase noise oscillators, high shock oscillators, and low-g sensitivity oscillators.
MtronPTI has pioneered many industry technical capabilities, including such firsts as all-quartz, high shock crystal resonators (over 100,000 G's), chemical milling of quartz resonators over 1 GHz, and the first monolithic crystal filters used in space (1973). Circuit design is assisted by the latest and most sophisticated computer aided design and analysis tools. The engineering staff is one of the most respected in the industry and is experienced in both academic training and in industry specific knowledge. This background allows MtronPTI the ability to create custom products that meet specialized specifications, needs, and applications for demanding customers.
The in-house environmental testing capabilities at MtronPTI are unrivaled. Shock testing equipment is capable of testing 50,000 g's over 5 mSec. MtronPTI's RF Shielded room is rated at -120dbc, allowing testing of phase noise and intermodulation measurements to be done in-house.
The facilities have the ability to manufacture full precision crystal oscillators from raw quartz bars to SC and AT resonators, which include round, rectangular, and high frequency inverted mesa designs. Oscillator capabilities include both PC board and hybrid construction. MtronPTI also prints and fires its own thick film hybrid substrates to its designs. Full in-house CNC machining capability is available along with the ability to laser weld the internally machined housings. This capability allows for substantial improvement in prototype turnaround and manufacturing control. From research and development to manufacturing and testing, MtronPTI has some of the most proficient and vertically integrated offerings in the industry.
