MtronPTI's Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Overview
MtronPTI is committed to delivering high quality frequency control devices that are in full compliance with the European Union's Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive. The RoHS directive prohibits six hazardous substances from use in electrical or electronic equipment. MtronPTI devices currently do not contain mercury, hexavalent chrome, polybrominated biphenyls or polybrominated diphenyl ethers.
MtronPTI has been following a RoHS compliance roadmap for the last two years that insures all parts will have a RoHS compliant option. It also outlines the testing for electrical specifications that are anticipated in the customers' assembly processes, after higher re-flow temperatures.
MtronPTI has considerable experience designing and manufacturing RoHS compliant devices. Our original 5x7 VCXO and oscillator design was RoHS compliant and has now been in production for over three years. The entire ceramic package SMT product line has also been incorporating a lead free solder since its original introduction. Currently, MtronPTI engineers are actively pursuing materials to bring all products into full RoHS compliance. We will continue our commitment to providing highly reliable, well designed, and quality manufactured frequency control devices to our customers in a RoHS compliant version.
