Combining over 25 years of discrete RF design expertise and SC-cut crystal manufacturing experience, MtronPTI’s XO8085D series provides designers a High Stability, Ultra Low Phase Noise and Low G-Sensitivity PLL integrated Frequency Reference. With RF systems getting smaller in size, the XO8085D enables system designers to employ a single package solution that has dual OCXOs and PLL integration.

In this integrated assembly, a 100MHz OCXO is phase locked to a lower frequency reference, which may be an external standard or an internal 10MHz OCXO. If the internal 10MHz OCXO is used as the reference, the 10MHz signal is also available as an output. Close-in phase noise of the 100MHz output is determined by the low frequency reference phase noise (external standard or internal 10MHz OCXO) and the phase noise of offset frequencies greater than the PLL bandwidth is determined by the locked RF oscillator (100MHz OCXO). The XO8085D series at 100MHz provides a noise floor approaching -170dBc/Hz and close-in performance of -130dBc/Hz or better at 100Hz offset.
