Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the design, simulation, implementation and testing of RF and Microwave filters of different topologies including planar filters, lumped element filters, cavity filters and crystal filters.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Apply technical principles and utilize RF synthesis and simulation software packages to design, simulate and prototype RF and microwave filters.
• Perform detailed analysis of compliance for electrical, mechanical, environmental and regulatory requirements (compliance matrix) for new products being quoted.
• Estimate costs, including material, labor, test and development costs as well as lead time for new products to be quoted.
• Optimize new products for performance, lead time and cost.
• Provide guidance to assemblers and technicians during the prototype build and optimization phase.
• Interface with Manufacturing Engineering to develop new processes required to support new products.
• Interface with purchasing department to ensure required materials for prototypes are procured and delivered on time.
• Provide timely updates on progress of projects.
• Lead and/or participate in required project meetings: Project kick-offs, peer design reviews, pre-ship reviews, etc…
• Provide necessary design support during transition of new products to production.
• Stay up to date on technology and industry trends.

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited University with 0-2 years of applicable experience.
• This position is entry level and does not require related previous experience. Training will be provided by advanced engineers in the field.
• Good understanding of RF filter theory.
• Strong hands-on bench skills are desirable.
• Basic knowledge of SolidWorks is desirable.
• Remote work is not an option for this position.
• Able to work with ITAR data without a license.
