Position Summary:

The Calibration Technician performs equipment calibration and preventative maintenance ensuring that all equipment meets published specifications.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Calibration of various manufacturing equipment (electronic, RF, temperature, humidity, etc.) according to specifications and requirements.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on various equipment as defined by specifications.
  • Perform simple repairs on various equipment as needed.
  • All transactions must be registered in internal software, and carried out according to internal, and manufacturers specification.
  • Maintains primary and secondary calibration standards.
  • Work with external calibration labs as needed.
  • Completes various forms as needed per requirements.
  • Ensures all equipment is calibrated throughout factory floor and all records are updated and maintained.
  • Involves working in a laboratory setting where procedures are carefully followed from start to finish of the calibration procedure.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment.
  • All other assigned duties.

  • None

Knowledge, skills, & Abilities:

  • Excellent analytical skills; high attention to detail
  • Proficient Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel software skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, efficiently manage time and troubleshoot problems as they arise with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of calibration processes and techniques
  • Familiarity of electronics equipment (network analyzers, oscilloscopes, power meters, frequency counters, etc.)
  • Must be able to work with ITAR data without license.

Education, Experience, & Training:

  • AS degree in Electronics or equivalent Electronics military experience preferred
  • Prior Calibration experience preferred

Physical Requirements & Working Environment:

  • Lifting of up to 50 pounds
  • The work associated with this position must be performed onsite.
